There is nothing like the delicious mild flavour of Dutch Edam to feed a hungry tummy.

Edam is easy to recognise thanks to its round shape and bright red wax. It is made using milk from famous piebald Frisian cows, which gives the cheese a pale yellow colour. It takes roughly ten litres of milk to make one kilo of Edam, and all that milk is what gives Edam its delicious creamy flavour.

Not only is Edam a great source of calcium, so perfect for growing bones, but it is lower in fat than other hard cheeses, with 25% less fat than and 14% more calcium than cheddar, making it an ideal healthy snack for your lunchbox.
